Patricia Frazer Brison Patricia Frazer Brison was born in Scotland and grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne. She lived in Rome during the 1960's economic boom years and the 1970's years of political and social unrest, then spent a few years in south America. She and her family returned to England in 1980, living near London. After discovering the natural beauties of the Lake Bolsena area, she and her husband moved to Valentano where they have been residents since 2004. After a lifetime spent living between Italy and England she appreciates knowing both countries - so different from each other but mutually attracted. An arts graduate and qualified TEFL teacher, since living in the Viterbo area she has worked as a voluntary teacher of English in Valentano's schools. Typically English in appearance, she confesses to being anti-monarchist and pro-Garibaldi, arousing curiosity during lessons which are often transformed into a stimulating exchange of ideas on national stereotypes.Scozzese di nascita e cresciuta a Newcastle upon Tyne, residente a Roma negli anni sessanta del 'boom' e settanta di 'piombo', poi trascorse qualche anno in Sud America. Insieme alla famiglia si ristabilì in Inghilterra vicino a Londra nel 1980. Scoprendo le bellezze del Lago di Bolsena, si trasferì insieme al marito a Valentano dove vivono dal 2004. Dopo una vita passata tra l'Italia e l'Inghilterra apprezza di conoscere due paesi così diversi ma attratti l'uno dall'altro. Laureata in lettere e diplomata in TEFL da quando abita nel viterbese ha svolto con entusiasmo il volontariato come docente di lingua inglese nelle scuole di Valentano. D'aspetto tipicamente inglese si confessa di essere anti-monarchica e pro-garibaldina, suscitando curiosità nella lezione che si trasforma in un divertente scambio di idee sui stereotipi nazionali. |
